Together
As a current council member, I’m closely aligned with the town’s strategic plan and its priorities to make Knightdale Safe, Connected & Inclusive, Sustainable, Active & Healthy, and demonstrate Organizational Excellence. The strategic plan is a consensus document that assists all parties in collaborative deliberations.

Safe
We are taking care of our first responders so they can take care of our community. We have increased staffing in Fire (48%) and Police (45%) in the last four years. We have opened two new fire stations, remodeled a third, and are actively searching for land to replace our fourth. We are remodeling and dramatically expanding our police station.

Active & Healthy
Providing attractive options for walking and biking. It takes a united council to create pockets of density where including active transportation is just an enjoyable part of your daily routine. We also provide organized athletic activities for all ages, as well as parks for people to pursue different leisure activities.

Connected & Inclusive
Diversity is a strength! From new cultural events to playgrounds for people of all abilities, Knightdale is more inclusive than ever. More public spaces are bringing residents together. Our main greenway has been extended, connecting Knightdale Station Park all the way to Anderson Point Park in Raleigh.

Organizational Excellence
We have some of the most talented staff in the state supporting our community. Our first-class staff make everything else possible. We continue to invest in them as our most valuable resource.

Sustainable
This includes natural environment and our economic environment. We endeavor to reduce emissions, bring jobs, and diversify the tax base with a broad mix of uses. We have new idle reduction technology on two of our fire trucks, new electric vehicles for administrative departments, and are piloting new stormwater management and filtration devices.
